Delete your account
You can delete your Eventopia account yourself at any time, in the app or on the website. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone.
In the Eventopia app
Open your profile, choose Privacy and then Delete account. Confirm with your password (and your two-factor code, if you use one) and type DELETE.
On the website
- Ticket account: sign in and go to Profile → Privacy → Delete account
- Organiser, staff, artist, supplier, venue or agency account: sign in and go to Settings → Privacy → Delete account
You confirm with your password (and your two-factor code, if you use one) and the word DELETE. You can download a copy of your data there first.
What is deleted
Your name, e-mail address, phone number, address, date of birth and sign-in are removed, and you are signed out on every device. Your favourites, preferences, push registrations and notifications are deleted. Messages and reviews you wrote stay for the other side, shown as "Deleted user".
What we keep, and for how long
Some records have to be kept by law. They stay without your name or contact details:
- Order, invoice and payment records: 7 years (Belgian accounting law).
- Ticket and scan logs: 24 months after the event.
- RFID / wallet transactions: 24 months (for refund support and dispute handling).
- If you delete your account: existing entries are kept until their 12 months have passed, because they may be needed to investigate misuse of that account, but they are pseudonymised: your name, email address and IP address are replaced by "[deleted]". What happened remains visible; who did it does not.
- Tickets you already downloaded stay valid at the door. Money left on an event wallet is still refunded automatically after the event to the payment method you used.
When deletion has to wait
An organiser, artist or venue account cannot be deleted while something is still open: a team you own that has other members, upcoming events with tickets sold, money still on its way to you, unpaid Eventopia invoices or confirmed bookings. The deletion screen tells you what to settle first. A ticket account is never blocked.
Lost access to your account?
Forgot your password? Reset it from the sign-in page, then delete the account yourself as described above. If you can no longer use the e-mail address or the two-factor device of your account, write to us from that address if you still can, or tell us which account it is. We first check that the account is yours, then delete it within 30 days and let you know.
